Drop by the tent and discover the ancient craft of paper folding! Origami Canada will guide you in creating your very own paper friend—it's a fun and creative experience for all ages!

Join the Richmond Hill Heritage Services to learn more about history. Challenge your local history knowledge with the 'mystery box'.  Learn about several artifacts from the Richmond Hill Artifact Collection Storage. You’ll find your artifact team in the Carnival tent.
12:30 pmCarnival Welcome Ceremony, Featuring Ookpik & Local Dignitaries
Join us at the Carnival Stage to formally kick off the 2026 Richmond Hill Winter Carnival. Local dignitaries will join Ookpik and friends to get things started. We'll highlight events of the weekend so you don't miss a thing!

1:30 pmWing Eating Contest: Are You Up for the Challenge?
Eight hungry attendees will be selected from all of the applications submitted by noon on Carnival Saturday. Test your appetite and speed in this fun, fiery, and competitive wing-eating showdown! Only the fastest (and messiest) will claim victory!
2:00 pmGlenn Marais and the Mojo Train
Glenn Marais and the Mojo Train are a blues rock band known for their powerful and dynamic sound with their music taking listeners on a journey through the Mississippi Delta, with stops at Detroit, Motown, and the funky sounds of Philadelphia.
2:30 pm - 3:30 pmMake a Bird Feeder with Bird Friendly Richmond Hill
Bird Friendly Richmond Hill will be helping carnival-goers make a simple, eco-friendly bird feeder from a pinecone, suet and some bird seed with some cord to hang outdoors.
3:00 pmBirds Of Prey
Come to the Carnival stage and see birds of prey up close and personal.
4:00 pmGlenn Marais and the Mojo Train

We start serving spaghetti at 5pm and last call is at 7:30. Dinner includes spaghetti, meat balls, a drink and desert. All for $15. Vegetarian option available—meatless for $13. Drink & dessert included.
5:30 pmLive Music with The Honeys
Not only do we have a delicious spaghetti dinner for you, we also have a terrific local band performing in the tent.
